Unfortunately, my calendar tells me today is the last official Saturday of summer. And although we’d all rather focus on the fun stuff about fall, like FOOTBALL SEASON, we also need to remember the words of House Stark: “Winter Is Coming.” And although we’re lucky that unlike Westeros, our winter only lasts a few months instead of years, there are still things we can start doing now to be prepared.
First, test your heater now, before it gets cold. Run it for at least 20 minutes to make sure that it’s cycling properly and moving the temperature upwards. Hopefully, this is just a check on your list and you can move on, but if you notice a problem during the test give us a call at 484-477-0461 and get it taken care of BEFORE the mad rush of the first cold snap.
If you suffer from allergies or asthma, we know what a bad time of year this can be to take a simple breath. If you dread the wheezing and sneezing of this time of year, make an appointment to review your options with your doctor now before their office is overrun with flu season. Don’t forget to bring a list of any over-the-counter medications you’re taking to the appointment, some OTC products can actually aggravate your symptons. We’re working on more great tips for allergy sufferers for our fall newsletter, so keep an eye on your mailbox!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
